This project represents a long term relationship built with Adams Fairarce Farms, a family owned Hudson Valley enterprise. T.A. was initially retained to convert their existing farm stand into a code compliant super farm market. The expansion of the existing facility included adding new departments such as the meat, fish, delicatessen, and a garden center. Second floor offices were also provided within the site design. The success of the initial project led to the need for further expansion in which led Adams to ask Tinkelman Architecture to lead the efforts design team.  With the expansion of the store departments, T.A redesigned the store entrance to improve circulation and customer experience. Tinkelman Architecture was involved with the site master plan and the design of the new Landscape & Fencing building.

This commission for the design of new location (located on US Route 9), required a challenging and complex approval process which involved endangered species, wetlands, vehicle movement on a constricted site, and the requirement of producing a design that is both new and yet stylistically linked to the iconic Adams Fairacre Farms images.  The 72,000 square foot store incorporates LEED concepts and required the close coordination of a multi-discipline team of structural, M/E/P, store fixture and specialty consultants.

With a 62,000 square feet new facility, TA was responsible for master planning the project site, obtaining all municipal approvals, coordination with the client’s team of consultants and completing a comprehensive set of working drawings for the project.
