PLEASANT VALLEY LIBRARY

Project Overview - Pleasant Valley, New York

This project represented an exciting opportunity to assist a pillar of the cultural community with its long overdue expansion and re invention. TA began with a comprehensive programming process and inventory of needs. The resulting design comprises an addition for community meeting rooms, a new plaza to accommodate community events and use by patrons, as well as extensive interior improvements within the existing library, including an elevator, additional work and office space. The exterior styling of the addition plays new against old, making use of modern elements such as metal panels and extensive glazing to signal the new phase in the life of this important institution.
