The Lagrange Farms at Overlook is a culmination of over a decade of design and planning between Tinkelman Architecture and Baxter Built. The master plan is focused around the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the existing Overlook barn, which defines the architectural language of the new multi-family community.
Two primary carriage house typologies are alternated in a circuit around the existing barn, framing a great lawn between the ring of structures. The lawn acts as a place of social congregation for the community, offering a variety of flora and tree coverings to soften the landscape. The green space permeates the interstitial zones between the carriage houses and existing structures, seamlessly blending the lawn, yards and meandering walking path that wraps the site's periphery.
