As a follow up to its work on the second floor, Tinkelman Architecture developed a new home for the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse on the first floor of its building. The project involved layout of a complex program as well as assistance with budgeting, selection of furniture, and coordination between the County and the Center staff. The exterior was re-styled to reflect the new inner life within the simple masonry shell, and plays on the themes established by the Tinkelman Architecture Office project. Construction challenges included extensive masonry repairs and threading new building services through the antique envelope.
