Location: Pleasant Valley, NY

This project consists of the adaptive reuse of an eighteenth century mill complex and surrounding grounds to create a new municipal park as well as new meeting spaces within the mill building for the Town of Pleasant Valley and its Historical Society. The park includes an archaeological recreation of the walls of the former mill as well as manipulation of the grounds, to create an exterior room that is both engaged with the creek and sheltered from passing traffic. Additional park components include a waterfront path, an accessible fishing pier, a gazebo, a Veterans Memorial, and a small amphitheater with a central water feature.
