Location: New York
This unique project involved a large addition to an existing farmhouse that had previously been renovated in 1990s. The new owners requested that Tinkelman Architecture redirect the stylistic direction set by the prior renovation, and give the new, much enlarged home, a more lodge-like, Adirondack feel. Tinkelman Architecture made extensive use of hand sketches to test design strategies for both interior and exterior concepts and to communicate with the hands-on clients. In addition to the intensive design effort, Tinkelman Architecture worked closely with the contractor and structural engineer to provide complete construction drawings of this fast tracked project even as it was under construction.
