Our charge involved analyzing the current needs of the Town as well as anticipating use requirements for the next 20 years. A thorough existing conditions report of the current Town Hall was developed and a comprehensive programming document was prepared prior to commencement of the design process. A new addition was developed along with numerous modifications and upgrades to the existing Town Hall based on these initial studies. One of the deed requirements mandated that any new addition to the existing Town Hall be stylistically compatible with the existing structure. A new, clearly defined upper and lower floor entry node was created forming a bridge between the old and new building components. This decision also created logical entry systems from both the east and the west side parking lots. A Senior’s Center facility was created in the course of completing the effort.
